Vibration Response Across a Range of Frequencies

Our latest Application Bulletin is aimed at extending our discussion of vibrations beyond the amplitude and frequency. Whilst both of these aspects have been covered in previous ABs, and in video form too, there is a large section in our product datasheets that we have not covered in our online content.

In particular, the displacement and energy dissipation are two factors with important design implications. Of course, amplitude and frequency of vibrations still play a big role, but here we look beyond the vibration motor itself and start to consider how the materials of the target mass can have a great impact on the perception of vibrations and the current draw from the motor.
