Around 5 years ago we started keeping a regular blog on our site. We thought it would be a useful resource for customers, providing short articles that helped answer frequent questions or notifying people about our larger Application Bulletins. As more questions and comments about the articles on the blog came in, we wondered if people would like to have the content delivered straight to their inbox.
So at the start of 2012, we sent our first email to a handful of subscribers, in truth we really didn’t know what to expect – miniature DC motors are a pretty niche topic, what would people be interested in? Can we continue to produce content long term?
Well, we have been delighted with the results. Our subscription rate has grown at an extremely steady rate, which keeps driving us to produce more useful content – much of which acts as the basis for initial contact with our engineers.
We owe you all a huge thank you, we have never signed anyone up automatically – you enter your name and email because you’re interested in what we’re saying. You’re all here because you want to be!
However, to keep up with online technologies, and styles, we have decided to refresh our website. This includes making some technical changes that should enable us to offer rich content to help explain concepts and offer advice.
Unfortunately, this does mean that we are rather a time constrained and will struggle to author new articles as we prepare the new site. So we have taken the decision to temporarily pause our tech blog.
If this is your first month subscribing, please accept our apologies – with the current schedule we only expect to miss March’s email and be back up and running by April.
So we’ll see you all soon!
