Continuing our series on help with mounting vibration motors, and following on from AB-006 : Mechanical Mounting for Vibration Motors - to PCBs, our most recent application bulletin looks at mounting motors to bulkheads.
If you’re not familiar with the term ‘bulkhead’, we mean a flat rigid surface large enough to place the vibration motor on. This could range from a metal chute in a mechanical aid application, to part of a plastic mobile phone enclosure. Aside from PCBs, this is the most common type of surface our vibrating motors required to mount to, and our application bulletin can help provide some suggestions and also highlights some pitfalls to avoid.
