Precision Microdrives evolved from a component trading business that was established in late 2003 into a supplier of dc motor and gearmotor assemblies. Founders Thomas Arundel and Tsuyoshi Kihara developed relationships with leading manufacturers in Asia who had developed unique precision motor and motion control products, to fulfill the growing demand for precision-made high performance miniature DC motor units worldwide.

Working closely with peers at London's Imperial College, Precision Microdrives has a rock solid foundation in the engineering and technology behind the products they sell. This is demonstrated by in-house developed testing facilities, that are used to verify manufacturers' motor specifications before they are released to customers.
